Local Runs:

The Cody area is replete with great local runs ranging from desert-style scenic Class II - III runs to Class IVand IV+ canyon sections literally right behind town. In addition, there are a variety of alpine rivers that are free flowing within thirty minutes of town plus innumerable steep creeks and wilderness hike-and-boat sections that require a good pair of hiking shoes to access. Please refer to the following guide for a complete list of popular runs as well as those that aren't so popular, but noteworthy nonetheless.
